View Full Version : Making a Metal Mask?

I want to make a mask like this dude on the right

How should I go about doing that?
I've considered getting a Jason mask and using metal spray paint or covering it with foil first, but when the mask is a major prop everybody will spot it IMO.

I watched the making of Devils Rejects where they gave a pretty brief explanation of how they made their metal suits. It looked like they put thin sheet metal on top of lighter material though.

Truthfully that doesn't look all that metalic to me. It almost looks like spray painted foam. :)

Haha, there would be a thread on here asking for something as off the wall as I am.

I didn't find what I was looking for, thanks though.

I want to see if anybody has some metal type suggestions.

Shape some sheet metal, or use bondo with some touch up paint.

Have you ever seen any of the German gore movies in the Violent Shit series? Starting at part 2 they wear these really cool metal masks. You ought to check them out.

you could use carboard and that silver tin tape
we made a vega mask out of it
looked pretty nice
wish i still owned it
