It's good, but I'm not going to vote in another bloody poll. A poll doesn't need to be created for this at all.
Yes, I'm a hateful old man.

I gave it a 9/10, sadly I don't own it, but I rented it, and it's a fun game. I was also quite good online XD

I gave it a seven because while its huge in scale, it lacks in stuff to do.
I breezed through the story mode in like 27 hours. The cover feature of combat makes everything incredibly easy. Too easy.
Compared to the other games, the replay value is lower.
7/10

I think I've clocked up over 65 hours on it, tragically. I really enjoyed it and was glad that there wasn't as much half-arsed crap that spoiled San Andreas so badly.

I don't find it lacks in stuff to do.. and a 27 hour campaign (and that is rushing through it imo) is a long time compared to most games now-a-days. But there is always something to do in that game. Hell, I even started doing "parkour-ish" stuff, by climbing up buildings without flying to the tops and stuff, cause most buildings their is a way to climb to the top, whether by climbing up one building and going from roof top to roof top, or my favorite, jump off a ledge, and land on the stairwell and climb up.

8/10. As much as I liked it, there wasn't as much to do as I expected. You're only able to go into a few select stores/houses. It was grand in scale, but, the "fun factor" went down a little for me, once you beat campaign. Of course, creating a fully functioning city with every store and house able to be entered is a bit much. I do think Rockstar did a great job in making the city seemed lived in. I got some fun times from GTA 4.

I disagree:
Sure, the story mode is easily beaten in under thirty hours, assuming you're just breezing through the missions, but there's plenty of fun stuff to do:
The vigilante and most wanted missions are great, and I get the biggest kick out of spawning a helicopter, going to the top of the Getalife building and driving off the edge in an FIB Buffalo (if you get the angle right, you hit several buildings and ledges on the way down.)
You can kill hours surfing the in-game internet, and frankly, the combat system is the best I've seen in any GTA game to date. Sure, the cover system makes things simpler, but riddle me this: Were you in a gun fight, would you not take cover and fire around corners as well?
Simply put: I love this game. It's not perfect, but it's great. I'm currently playing through story mode again, and thus far have not been killed, arrested, or used any mission restarts. Here's hoping I can keep that streak going.
