Goin to the beach...

So I am going away for 3 days to the new jersey shore (eww...I know, sorry steve, not a fan) but I am going with my good friend so it should still be fun. I of course, am bringing my camera. Now I ask you, what do you guys think I should shoot? I will basically spend all of my time on the beach and on the boardwalk. what do you guys think I should shoot? Thanks.

People watch. Go to a busy area or a few busy areas and just sit there and find some interesting people to film, and make it into a "Who I Saw at the Jersey Shore" type of thing.

My answer depends on which city. If you're going to say Seaside or Wildwood, you might s well work for Girls Gone Wild!

Seriously I'm sad with the above answers. How is filming hot girls showing off your film making abilities? Or even different from what most guys at a beach with a camera do?

I would suggest making something really surreal and almost "emotional" to view. Something that would sound awesome with a Indie instrumental track in it (I recommend Unwed Sailor for some songs) . Sped up sun sets, lens flares, children playing in the sand, old couples. I would suggest something with some substance rather then girls in bikini's.

I agree but I also know the Jersey shore well and my comment had more to do with how young ladies behave there.

If I was near Avalon I'd film the water and beach. I'd use it to acquire stock footage. IN Cape May, I'd film the concrete ships and in town away from the water.

I'd stay away from Atlantic City as this is a cesspool.

Sunsets on the bay side of Wildwood would be breathtaking! You have to be careful filming people's children. Sunrise over the ocean would awesome too.

I've stayed in Ocean City before. It's more of a town then a place of attraction. Just film some stuff on the fly or write up a movie you'd like to shoot there, that interacts with the ocean!

Rob a grocery store with nothing but a video camera. Put it on youtube. Get arrested but contact the NAACP claiming your a victim of a massive hateful conspiracy. When they tell you you're a silly white boy that's when you break out of prison with the help of a wise con who despite being released ten years prior has broke back into prison and lives there for free. That'd be an awesome movie.

not to bag on you, but baywatch did a pretty good job on filming hot chicks to make a tv show, but to help abilities of film making, unless it was like, a csi thing going on, i dont think so.

i didnt film hot chicks when i went to the beach D:
i filmed crabs. which are really hard to catch.

catch crabs on your vacation. you'll gain the speeds of a stealth bomber.
