I was on the site, and i was amazed by the idea of monthly(?) film contests!!!

can someone explain to me more about film fights?

I'll explain it from what I understand...

It's a bi-monthly film contest. The topic, time limit, and theme are chosen. You post your film that fits within that criteria and it is voted on by everyone who chooses to vote.

We pick a title, and a genre (and usually a time limit). A whole bunch of filmmakers take those simple building blocks, and make a movie! So, if the title was "Magical Pete" and the genre was "Sci fi" you'd make a movie starring some guy named Pete out in space - just make it more original and cooler than everyone else! The winner gets bragging rights and a new movie in their collection of stuff they've made.

If you think you're serious about making videos, go make a movie for Filmfights and effing PROVE IT!!

The number of submissions varies a lot - usually around like 4 to 7. We've had one with over 20 though.

When there's a lot of entries, or at least a bunch with varied quality, I'll put the best as HW, and the other ones at LW. The voting is split, so even if you're in the LWs you can still win among your group. Every film submitted goes up on the main page.

I'm not too concerned about it for Film Fights submissions. If you want to get on Indy Mogul ya gotta be more cautious, though.
