Hi

Does anybody out there have some experience using Cleartex from Zeller International for the production of thin films via spray application? I just bought a five gallon pale half of which I ve already wasted trying to spray this compound to no avail. Can somebody tell me what kind of equipment I need to spray this 70 000 cps liquid synthetic latex? The people at Zeller weren't very helpful.

Thanks
Vas

I would suggest trying to thin it out, at Zeller's website I wasn't able to locate anything that they would suggest as thinning agents.

For regular liquid latex, i've used water to thin it before, it takes long to dry, and it's a bit weaker (or SEEMS to be weaker) once it finishes drying, but it works.

For this, I would experiment with very tiny amounts to see what can thin it out, get a little on a spoon, blend it together with some water or some ammonium, and see what happens.

I don't know what this stuff uses as a binding agent, regular liquid latex usually uses ammonia, but I don't know about this stuff.

I suggest finding out what it uses as a binding agent, and using that to thin it, since it might not be water soluble.
