I've noticed in some shots of BFX that Erik is wearing glasses. I would love to know if these are just for reading or if he removes them from the show. I think he looks better when he had them on (or maybe 20+ episodes of no glasses finally got to me). But I'm getting of topic.
So, Indy Mogulers, Erik Beck: With or without glasses?

Hey party peoples!
I do need glasses. I am blind as a bat without them. I usually wear contacts the days we shoot the shows. Or sometimes just take them off and hope I'm facing the camera.
I'm interested to see how the poll turns out.

Ditto.I'm blind as a bat,well bats arnt really blind I guess so a bat wearing a blindfold.I do have cotnatcs,but it's annoying to take them in and out.But I love having contacts. :)

Bats r blind. They "hear" whats in the room! they can hear with their ears whats in the room and if its moving and where its moving!

I had glasses once, but I never understood why I needed them, I can see just fine without them. They broke one day, and I just never got new ones.

Yeah, I had glasses in second grade, but it was only because I had a huge headache at the eye exam and couldn't concentrate but I never wore them. I have great eyesight.

Felix, most bats are NOT blind. That is a huge misconception.
In fact, some bats, like the fruit bat, have superior night vision.
They use echolocation because it's NIGHT time, it's dark out, and like people, most species of bats don't see too well at night. Considering that they have to hunt in the darkness and fly around, they use echolocation to compensate for the fact that they don't see that well at night (and they're pretty inactive during the day) .
And as I said, some bats actually DO have great night vision, like the fruit bat.

Of course, but ever since David Letterman did that bit about 20 years ago, it pops into my head anytime people talk about bats.

Glasses place a person in a whole new perspective. Like how you meet a girl that is always wearing glasses and the moment you stop her without them, she is partialy unreconisable.

Yeah my sister used to wear glasses and one day she went out to get contact lenses and now I only ever see her occasionally... some weird kid took her place...:ohsnoes:
Not as bad as my aunt though... She went away for laser surgery and the government abducted her or something :grumble:

Nerd: An intelligent person who knows quite a lot about a certain subject he is very good at.
Example: Erik Beck is a total special effects nerd!
Geek: A dorky nerd with bug glasses, buck teeth, bad clothes, and other creepy qualities.

My eyes r -5.00, Thats horrible. I have contacts that make my iris saphire blue. I like moving them over where it looks like i have 2 pupils and iris' in each eye. It freaks people out.
