I really don't... But some cinematic advice- If you can, get a telephoto lens so you can get close-up shots without putting yourself too close. I don't know how to do underwater shooting- but I'm sure there's someone who does.

when i surf i try to run over people like you, jk umm try sitting at the shoulder of the wave with your camera and every out side set hold on to your camera and duck dive under, or use a tripod on shore and film

alot of times the shot is underwater
or a little ways away
make sure you
alot of filmers wear bright skins
while doing it

I've only photographed someone surfing from the beach, but if I were doing it, I would try to do it almost like a skateboard video. I'd get a surf board, or a boogie board or at least a life vest and try to keep up.

lol it doesn't work like that in the water tho
surf filmers sit in one spot and get the surfer come to him

Yeah, I just watched some surf videos. Though I think it would be an interesting take, shoot surfing like skating.

it be hard
there are some people who film on jet ski
but those are of like mega waves

I thought they just tow in on the jet ski and shoot from a chopper with those waves? either way, I'm sure they shoot from jetskis too.
It would be hard, but I'd do it.

you could mount a camera on the nose of the board looking a the person

yeah but when you mount it on the nose
you probably weaken the board
let alone f the camera up
surf boards don't come cheap

Yeah, and if the camera just weighs down the front of the board they could take a nose dive. I did that surfing once, it was awesome to see the water come over the edges of the board at 50 thousand miles per hour, then it sucked.

Wear a fluro coloured watersports helmet if you're in the water. It helps the riders to see you, and he obvious protection it provides.
