Is anyone else uber-excited for this?
Citrus

I'm not uber-excited (but I like that someone else uses uber). But it's mostly because of the cast and crew.
1. Paris Hilton is making me scared even if the director liked her.
2. The director could pull it off but his episode of Fear Itself wasn't very good, but that may have been the writing.
But it has promise and it looks really fun! A horror musical usually means fun!

I agree about the Paris thing, but I did see a new clip, and she's okay in it.
Horror musicals FTW!

anyone else seen it?
Website: http://www.repo-opera.com/
Trailer: http://www.apple.com/trailers/lions_gate/repo/
I was lucky enough to see it at the last stop on the road tour 1 and they had both Darren Lynn Bousman(Director) and Terrance Zdunich (writer, actor:Graverobber) there and they mingled with the crowd beforehand, presented the film, did a Q & A, and then stayed afterwards for pictures/autographs until all the fans were satisfied (and I mean they'll stay, the movie started at 10 p.m., and after everything I didn't get home until 3:30 a.m.)
I just wanted to know how many people here actually know what it is or have seen it, because all the stops on the first road tour sold out (in advance I think too) so now they're going to do a second and third tour. It's without a doubt worth going to, if you want it to come to a city near you you just need to find an independent movie theatre that seats 450+ (not an AMC, Cinemark, Regal, Loews) and suggest it here: http://www.repo-opera.com/board/viewtopic.php?f=82&t=3434 .
Let me know if you've seen it, and what you think!

I was lucky enough to see it in Toronto during the After Dark Film Festival and because it had such a strong showing there it's playing in Toronto from the 21st to the 27th of November now at the Bloor Cinema.
Terrance Zdunich was there for the showing but also came to the Pub gathering the following evening with Dean Armstrong (from one of the memorable death scenes).
Loved the movie and came out grinning like an idiot. Zdunich was humble but genuinely excited by what he had accomplished.
For anyone who has a chance to see it, take it, those chances are hard to come by.

This is possibly one of the greatest musicals in history, problem is you'll probably never see it because Lions Gate is afraid to give it a wide release, because its a rock opera... about organ repossession. Good stuff, so they need our help, go visit the site, listen to the music, who knows you might actually enjoy it!
The director is Darren Bousman, the maker of SAW, and he's really a great guy who's just trying to get the film out there.
Help a fellow film maker and the thousands of REPO! fans out, visit the site, join the forums, listen to the music, see the film if it happens to come your way. But please help us support REPO! The Genetic Opera.

Yeah, i saw this at midnight over the weekend! It was pretty good. I expected it to blow since it was Bousman and he really screwed up Saw but it was good. They reused a lot of sets from Saw because they were so under-budget. Everyone should check it out some time!

Okay, girlie-ness over.
But really, I loved Repo! I've watched it way to many times over that passed week.

Really? That was one of my favorites that she did. It reminded me of most femme fatale rock bands.
Best think I've seen from DLB yet. Hopefully, Repo! is DLB growing as a director. I expect to see better things coming from him.

My girlfriend showed her 13 year old brother using my DVD. I didn't approve. So she skipped through anything we deemed innapproiate. Gore doesn't bother him so that didn't matter. So anything remotely sexual we skipped over and played it off as us not liking the song.

I wouldn't really say he's cynical. I'd say he's more egotistical and for lack of better words a horn dog. If anyone is cynical it's Rotti. He doesn't trust his own children (not that you can really blame him). Luigi is slightly cynical but he's more homocidal

When I was 12, hell when I was even younger I watched shit that was way worse than this, and it made me the awesome person I am today. I honestly hate when people think other people can't handle movies because of their age, I know alot of 12 year-olds who couldn't handle this, but that doesn't mean every 12 year-old can't.

I know alot of adults with an opinion similar to mine. Which brings me to another point, why is it that who ever played this for little kids thinks its okay to let them see a woman stab her eyes out, but god forbid they catch a little nipple.

I think the mentality is that violence in movies and videogames is fake, while sex on screen is(for the most part)real.

Hmmm...
Anyway, yeah. I had gotten a copy of it from Alexa back in late November. I loved it. Thought it was great.
It's one of those things that's so uniquely odd, and somewhat f**ked up at times, that it sticks in your head, and stays with you. Which is one of my favorite types of movies.
And yeah, I did think that 'seventeen' was just a little out of place. But not so much that it shouldn't have been there. It was entertaining, so it should stay. That and if I did think that the number sucked, I would've gotten griped at, and asked why. I'm not to great at trying to come up with reasons behind my thoughts. lol
