I'm currently in the hospital on my laptop watching basic cable without any decent movies, and I got to say I'm ready to go AMA. Saturday night my family made me come in and it seems I've been having an asthma attack for the past four weeks.

So, I'm on steroids and fluids, an nearly bat-shit insane from boredom. No Myspace, no youtube, nothing of any real entertainment save for IndyMogul and Rev3, and I have 12 hours of steroid treatments to go.

TacticalNinja

Okay BAD ideaasthma attacks would suck!

Umm stroll around, like go for a walk, or can you not do that because you could have an asthma attack?

write, or if you have a script, story board. or if you have a storyboard already done, then set list/prop list. If you are already done all of that stuff, then do it all again.

why can't you go to youtube or myspace?

The workers boned it for everyone. They where getting on with the guest wireless and screwing around. So, the Seventh Day Adventists who own the hospital said cut it off. I can't even use MSN, Yahoo or AIM, save for the web-messengers.

i don't understand why they would care if people were using it. But either way that sucks. At least you got us though.....even though that isn't much.

Hope you feel better soon.

Ah that sucks man....I hate asthma...

I used to have it really badly, like every time I went swimming, or played sports, or anything. But nothing severious has happened in about a year, so I'm really glad for that. Search around and just find some entertaining sites, or screw around with scratch footage on your lappy, or do whatever. I wish you luck!

That sounds more like allergies than anything. I've had asthma since I was born, I had/have a host of medical problems from birth, namely with the lungs. Thing is it wasn't bad enough that I couldn't keep it check with a proper diet and exercise.

However, with my Cousin Amanda getting murdered in the parking lot of the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit; My Grandfather dieing suddenly from cancer a few months ago; a friend of mine, and man I looked up to dieing in a car crash on his way home; The stress of trying to get a revenue in from my writing, and other things I have going on, not to mention how horrible the job market is here... Yeah, I'm a bit stressed and haven't been taking care of myself like I should. So, I had an asthma flareup. Haven't had one in 16 years.

What's killing me right now is talking to the chiefs about it. Because I love being on entry, doing entry gave me purpose with my life that I haven't really hadn't had in my life before, and I don't want to loose it. But, with the meds I'm getting and the new diet I'm going back on I shouldn't have anything to worry about.

well Vaughn your problem could just be the amount of sensativity your body has to the gases emited from combustion,

(Do i need to get all scientifical? I can bring my dad in and he'll tell ya all about the Nox levels and the carbon and carbon dioxied and the oxygen (from incomplete burning)) hes trained as an emmissions specailist.

now please tell me bout this murder in the parking lot!!! thats kinda freaky (no offense)
and ive had asthma since i was born and in the begginning, it was horrible and i had to go to the hospital. but since i swim everyday, its supposed to improve your breathing. my friends have HAD it. (they said that it went away after they grew up) idk

Ooh, that really sucks man. Deaths of people close to you are tough to deal with. I wish I could help.

Oh, it was diagnosed asthma. I still get wheezy occasionally, but I guess I exercised enough in recent years, like Indymoguler, to get rid of it (mostly.)

It sucks when you get down (especially when your body comes with you), but it makes you appreciate everything that is good, much more. And when you see your health crumble, it helps you keep focus on what's important, your well-being.

As trite as it may be, whatever doesn't kill you will only make you stronger.

My Cousin Amanda Kay, it was one of those killings that they say never happen in real life when you do it in a movie, the "gangster walks up and puts a gun to your head, kills you, pulls out your limp body and drives away." Yeah, it happens. She was parked outside the hospital having a smoke because the hospital didn't have a smoking area near the entrance. This black guy walks up and shoots her in the head twice. Instantly brain dead.

The guy was a parolee, if I heard my Cousin right and he had just murdered two other women a few minutes before he shot Amanda. Though, her death wasn't a waste, she saved two people that night. One was a Mother who was going to die a few weeks before Christmas if she didn't get a transplant, if Amanda hadn't of been an organ donor she'd of died as well.

She and I where always the black sheep of the family. More dreamer than anything, but she had finally got her life around. She wanted to be a mechanic, she didn't care about the money, she just loved to be a grease monkey and build custom trucks. The truck the guy stole from her was her pride and joy. He abandoned it after smashing it head on into another vehicle. Part of me wants to find a truck like it and do something for her, but with money as tight as it is for me I don't know if I'll ever get to do it.

Especially right now, with the stuff we, my crew an I, have planned. It's not a pipe dream, but we're not counting chickens before they're hatched.

And Steve, thanks. That's how I've been looking at this from the start. Last time I was in the hospital as much as I've been right now, I was watching my Grandfather die. But, I wouldn't trade those moments for anything.

People like that "Gangsta" should just be killed, They contripute nothing to this world and should just be knocked off. Why should we have to pay for fuck ups like that with our taxes

I also think criminal masterminds should not let to waste in jail and put there minds to go use because most of the time the reason they commited that crime was becuase there minds were put to good use

Sorry to hear about all your troubles. My dad used to have asthma as a kid, but grew out of it. My sister used to have it bad when she was younger as well, but she hasn't had an attack for a few years. Hopefully, it'll be something you grow out of so you can still perform your fire fighting duties.

recover. Get healthy so you can stay away from the horrible hospital net server.

Went to the meeting tonight and I was told I'm suspended from entry duty until I'm cleared by a Doctor, or told otherwise. I'm less than pleased, I know why they have to do it, but entry is what I live for on the department. Seriously has me considering on taking a week off.

Eh, fine. I just hope I get cleared to do entry again.

Also, don't be an ass to Cindy. There is a lot of posts in, and she was also giving some info on how I could get around the servers. That's still relevant.
