Hey guys! I need to know how I would do a shot where a breeze blows at the character and he fades into ashes and gets taken away with the wind. Would it be possible to do it in AE? Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks! :)

Yeah. I just wish you used the search engine... BUT.

It would be TOTALLY possible to do it in AE. Here's what I would do:

I would first shoot your footage of your character in the wind. Shoot it up against a green screen and simulate your breeze using fans, etc. Once you've brought your footage into AE and keyed it out, I would place a particle emitter on top of your character to "blow ashes" into the wind. Make them whatever size or color you want.

Once your ashes in the wind look about right, I would then create another particle emitter to act as an alpha matte (a LITTLE tricky, I know.) The idea is that these particles aren't really VISIBLE, but they erase your character little by little.

If you want to go a whole nine yards, I would also add some "fractal noise" to your character and keyframe that in, so it looks like your character is getting grainy.

I think it's going to take quite a lot of elements to get this to look good, so you're going to have to experiment on your own. Good luck!
