I'm shopping at the mall today. And I decide to stop in at Circuit City. Of course the don't have my HV20 to mess around with, but they have the HV30. So after playing around with it, I notice another camcorder beside it.

A JVC-HD3. It looks gorgeous. I'm like surely it costs WAY too much. It has a mic input, a shoe, light, and everything! (I just checked it is too much for me) You know how much they were selling it for? $600. I'm crying now because that's less that half it's retail. I soooo wish I had enough to go and buy it.
Anyway, I guess my question is... WTF?!!?

"WTF," indeed.
What are you even trying to ask?

Just to let you know, Canon stopped making H20's, that's why you didn't see it.

Why is a $1300 dollar camera selling for $600? And why can't I have money when they do it?! ;_;

Surely you don't think its a $1300 camera. All the sites I've checked out labeled it from $700-800. Doesn't seem that great, and it's an HDD camera (which I personally hate). From CNET reviews it got 6.1/10. "The bad: Low-resolution video; needs built-in ND filter; no viewfinder."

JVC has it for $1299.99 on their site.

By coincidence I snagged an HV20 a couple weeks ago at the local Circuit City (I was actually about the buy the '30 when I noticed a '20 box in the inventory cabinet. I asked the salesdroid to price it: $400). I haven't fully put it through its paces yet, but I can say its low light performance is excellent, particularly in HD.
