id say more if he is running vista as well.

If you have to buy a laptop then you do. but desktops are the way to go for editing, editing is just a highly intensive resource base process. So you're battery life isn't gonna be nice, so you'll have to be plugged in alot anyways.

Thats not very helpful Trsp. MacBooks are horribley overpriced. If you were to by the same thing in windows it would be twice as good.

well they don't sell xp anymore
vista only
so i highly doubt you get one with xp lol
alot of laptop companies have it set up if you call or e-mail them and request what laptop would be the best for such and such
they should give you a few options

I bought my laptop without an operating system on it. I'd guess that other companies offer this option too.

Just on newegg there are 31 laptops with windows xp on them.

also, you can go to companies like alienware. you can customize a laptop with xp on it.

just note that if you want xp, you usually have to pay more money for a computer that has it. If and only if you buy from companies that are like alienware.

well i knew XP wasn't sold in stores like Best Buy or Futureshop.

but I knew they did have offers where XP is installed.

Sometimes the deals suck.

and if you wish to run XP instead of vista. somtimes there is a difficult time searching for patches. (SOMTIMES, we've had this disscusion befor though, we don't need it again)
