I thought you guys would find these videos really interesting, shows some great potential for what computers can do with video data, and some really amazing things filmmakers are going to be able to do very soon to make their videos look amazing for potentially a far smaller budget.

When this software becomes commercialized and further developed, you'll literally be able to build a double tripod, and get a consumer 10 megapixel still camera, and a simple 300 dollar minidv cam, and be able to composite them together and get resolution from your footage that is comparable to the resolutions capable with a RED Camera.

Can't wait to see this software and technology to develop further.

This is absolutely crazy. This program is like AE but COMPLETELY automated!

This video just blew my mind. I want this so badly now.

They offer the code out free so Adobe might snap it up.

Yeah, it all looks really cool until you realize this- you cant do anything with actors, it has to all be static stuff.

There's a link to a .pdf of the corresponding paper on their website: http://grail.cs.washington.edu/projects/videoenhancement/videoEnhancement.htm

Computer vision is a really amazing field.

Did not see a thread showing this so I'm posting it. I'm pretty sure a group of college students from Washington D.C. are developing this. But I can't talk about it any further, you need to watch it.
