The Bardl EM-8800

I've been watching eBay a lot recently, and keep noticing a Bardl EM-8800 for sale. It looks to be a good microphone, with normal and telescopic options, plus it has a wind sock and looks pretty professional.

Does anyone have any advice on it? I've seen it go for at least $60 (AU). Is it a decent microphone, and what should I look for in a microphone? (Stats wise)

Well, does it have an XLR cable? Is your camera's mic stereo? If it is, you may want to consider getting a stereo mic. You can fill the other side(L to R or R to L) in post, but, depending on your program, it can be a pain.
