If you have a website, that would be the best place to sell it.

I would advise against eBay, but that's just me.

Promoting the film, with posters and trailers on different websites will get more people interested in the film, then tell them where they could buy it.

As far as I know, I don't think there is a website for indie film makers to sell their DVD's, But I could be wrong

Indieflix is more user friendly and they accept shorts. Before you send it to them make sure the film is as professional as you can!

Quadruple check your audio!

I don't think either site will get your short on Amazon. Another thing you'll have to market the film on your own for the best results! These sites can do a lot but you have to make twice as hard now as opposed to making the film.

I would just suggest doing it yourself.

Set up a website, a myspace, a Vimeo page, a youtube page, etc. for your film, with trailers, promotional materials, interviews, photos of behind the scenes, that kind of stuff, all to make it look a little more professional.

And just take mail orders for the DVD, I mean, 100 orders a month sounds like a lot, but really, it's not a lot.

You could get your DVD's mass printed, also order bulk DVD jewel cases, and print out your own slip covers, and there you go.

It's cheaper to use the websites and they deal with all the hassle. Also those DIY labels for DVD's are horrible.

I used to do it this way but between the labels (they come off, even the good ones!) and postage and finding a credit card service the cost is less using either of the websites i mentioned.

I would suggest, along with a website and other suggestions here, to talk around your area to local music and video game stores. I have a local music shop that sells my DVDs.

what about those Magic Sketch DVDs or light Scrib or whatever they call em...

I have NO idea how they work or anything but is that a hassle or no?

I love light scribe. I think it works great. I just wish they would put out dual layer light scribe discs. It can take like 15 min per DVD to label them, but you can design some pretty professional looking stuff.

Freewebs lets you have a 10 item webstore for free. You just need a pay pal account.

try some contests or film festivals to get your short some exposure.

Createspace is AWESOME. Burning-on-demand so you don't have to order DVDS, and you don't have to deal with burning and shipping DVDs. It's cheap and high-quallity and they do it for you.

give it away for free on your myspace page. (allow it to be viewed there).

You wont make money from it, but it'll help with your 'cagalog'

Createaspace does sound very good, I'm going to use it when my first feature is finished.
