Shotgun mic troubles

i bought an ATR55 a while ago on ebay brand new but i just recently started using it on my HV20, and it's making all the audio very quiet and bad. im sure it's been plugged in all the way, does anybody know whats goin on?

I'm not familiar with either of this products but just make sure its plugged in properly and that it's in the correct port. Check your cameras settings, (volume, inputs etc) if the mic is battery powered, try replacing the batterry.

Which setting are you using it on?

We always use the top setting on ours, "tele" rather than "normal" (which is a bit shit..).
