Stabbing effect...

I'd like some opinions on how to make a stabbing effect. I know I could just use the side-view shot, but it's kinda lame.

Another idea I have is to first show a clip with someone going to stab someone, then change to a clip with half of the sword stuck in someones tummy.

Other ideas are 1) a fake stomach that you use in a close up when it goes in. 2) For a wide shot, shoot both guys separately and then make a rotoscoped mask for the guy with the sword so that the tip of his sword disappears into his belly.

Number 1 is better. I'm not that much into digital-effects.
