Avi converter

does anyone know of a free converter that will convert avi to a smaller file (mp1 maybe?) that wouldnt put a watermark on it?

thanks ciwi, but my computer doesnt have the minimum requirements for it. i was able to convert from a big avi to a small wmv by simply using windows movie maker, so i guess i can survive without a great converter.

Try www.media-convert.com (http://www.media-convert.com) . I use it all the time. It's done completely online; no need to download any programs or anything.
