Using Hanger 18 would be copyright infringement I think, because it's already a copyrighted song.

I would choose second one if it passed copyrights, because the second one no body would be able to pronounce.

Remember, you also have to have a DBA business license in order to legally use the a name with "productions" in it.

The first one sounds better, but it's very common. There's a tattoo shop called Hanger 18 here.

Hanger 18 sounds cool (i'l go all area 51 on your ass)
but Arekkusu's Yarmulke is way original.

Using Hanger 18 would be copyright infringement I think, because it's already a copyrighted song.Use of a just a song's title wouldn't be much of a copyright infringement. Under some circumstances it could be a trademark infringement, but in this case one is a song title and the other is the name of a film group, so proximity of goods isn't an issue.
Remember, you also have to have a DBA business license in order to legally use the a name with "productions" in it.Based on your username, you have presumably been through this, so can you explain whether this is municipal, state or federal requirement, and in what way is that above and beyond a requirement that you register any business name other than your legal name?

What kind of movies do you make redtail? If it's about aliens and government conspiracy, then go with the one with a number in it, if it's about Japanese jews, go with the one nobody will remember how to spell.

what's wrong with Redtail5 productions?

I like it, and it will make people wonder what it means.

Apart from Hangar being spelled wrong, I like that one. The other is hard to remember and harder to pronounce, and I took 3 years of Japanese! XD

So do not dude. Full. of. Shit. Stop saying this.

Hanger 18 productions

Very cliché.

Arekkusu's Yarmulke Productions

Stupid, unpronouncable, unspellable. And no one loves Wapanese kids.

Want an out of left-field suggestion? Don't worry about it. It's not important. Work on your filmmaking before you focus on the commercial value of a fictitious company name.

Dude, listen to this guy! Its the truth and anyways... A name is something that takes quite alot of time to perfect. I myself have gone through three names until i decided on this one. Here, if you have extra time, shut out all reality by going into a room with a note pad, your ipod, and a pencil (dur) and listen to your favorite songs, i came up with mine after two hours of doing this, so don't give up right away...

Just my $0.02

Dude, I respect your opinion and all, but you must desist being such a JERK. You can express your opinion without insulting the recipient. Seriously, hate life somewhere else.

Great. Let it die. If you'd like a new production name, i'd suggest dropping the "wapanese" and start thinking of a new name.

You need something catchier. Hanger 18 would be cool, but it's all over the place.

Or you need nothing. You want to make movies or do you want to make names?
