PSP as monitor?

i was trying to think of a way to connect a psp to my camera to use it as a second monitor.

i do not know how to get around the fact that the psp does not have an av output.'

do any of you guys have a suggestion?

dunno if it matters, but if you use the psp as a monitor, I think you would want a AV input on it, and not av output as you mentioned. Since the cord would go from the camera, INTO THE PSP.

But I dunno if PSP even has an INPUT.

PSP do not have an input. The newer models of PSP's have output though.

No input on PSP. You may want to consider buying one of those cheapo monitors they sell that attach to a home console so you can take it portable. They are even cheaper if you buy one meant for a last gen console such as the original XBox (http://www.amazon.com/XBox-Mobile-Monitor/dp/B00006DY1K) or Gamecube.

that's probably why its only 40 bucks. But for the price you cant beat the portability. Its better than toting around an old TV or your expensive lappy

Your best bet is portable dvd players you can get em dirt cheap you can even buy used ones that the only problem is it doesnt play dvds as long as the video input works your in luck.

thanks guys for all the replies...it would be sweet though to have the psp as a monitor because the monitor is fairly big and is extremely portable

what type of dvd players would you guys recommend? hd ones? or is that not necessary

I wouldnt pay the extra $$$ for a portable HD dvd player (if they make them). I would just got for the cheapest you could fine that has a "input" and also thats the right size screen you want.

Dont pay "more" for all the extra features. Esp if its just meant to be used as a monitor.
