Is there an easier way to zoom into a shot that while editing with FC Express? The way i do it is by key framing the shot and just expand. But it gets pretty blurry and i and sometimes it move around. Is there an easier way?

No, if you didn't zoom in the original shot then that's the only way to do it and it will be blurry. That technically what it does when you do a digital zoom. That's why those are always so blurry too.

That's really the only way to do it. KMP is right though, it's a digital expansion, so quality loss is inevitable. If you shot in HD a small expansion isn't all that noticeable, but on many SD videos even the slightest zoom can be noticed.

You want to zoom on the camera, zooming later will decrease your quality. But if you shot in HD you could zoom all you want if you export it as SD, because the quality would be there.

well what if you want to zoom in on a freeze frame or picture?

A freeze frame will decrease in quality. But if you scan a picture at a high enough resolution, you should be fine zooming in on that.

What you shot is what you shot. You have to expect a quality loss on your video if you zoom in, just like everyone else said.

That's correct. However I have yet to find a way to keep Final Cut/Premier from scaling the picture upon placing it in the timeline...
