So I filmed in a location I wasn't planning on and didn't have the greatest of light. So of course the video is a little grainy from the lack of light. I have both Premiere and After Effects so I'm hoping one of these will help me. >_<

Thx for any help.

There's a 'remove grain' filter, but that will blur your footage.

I am sorry to say there isn't much you can do short of reshooting.

In After Effects?

Yeah, there isn't too much you can do about it. Just consider it a lesson learned for your next shoot.

Maybe you could make a portable light set out of high powered led flashlights and reflectors to keep in your car trunk?

Unless you can re-color your image using mattes and some AE presets... But that's not easy and will make your film look along the lines of Sin City.

If you're good.

Or use the one that's attached to your car battery... like headlights? ;)

Headlights suck up a lot of battery juice, and you don't want to be stuck somewhere with a dead battery after filming for an hour or two.

And I would never run my car to keep the battery charged while filming... they make too much noise no matter how quiet they are.

It's already been said, but there really isn't much you can do unfortunately. A lot of us have been in your position. It's a good lesson.

When you're shooting in dark area's, keep your gain at zero. You can also lower the shutter speed a little, but you'll get some ghosting effects if you go under 60. You can also increase the aperture size which can let more light in too.

I don't know if it'll help, but you can look into this perhaps... http://www.revisionfx.com/products/denoise/

You harvest the grain! Then sell it to bread makers!
