What confuses me is their demographic. Is it some crowd of interweb 20 year old socialites? Or is it guys?

Either way, it's too girly to appeal to me.

I mean, geez.

Just when Julia Allison changes her fave color from pink to green, Mary Rambin says you should stick with pink, and tells us why Meghan Asha shouldn’t! What's your color obsession? Leave a comment below!

All of the girly types at the university are kind of obsessed with facebook and myspace, and are always texting and getting onto the internet with their phones and stuff.

So I could definitely see how there would be a significant audience for the text savvy 20-something woman.

As a 20-something female, I'm not a fan of the show. I feel like it focuses on all the things that young women make priority, but shouldn't. All that Cosmo crap of how you should look for your man in X situation, when it's appropriate to have sex with an ex, blah blah blah. They had a whole episode on the correct thing to wear to bed the first time you sleep over at a guy's house (any guy who CARES that much about what you wear probably isn't someone you want to be with, and I bet most men wouldn't even notice). A lot of their banter shows the sneaky and manipulative side of subtly trying to get men to behave how they want or who bitch about their "best friends" behind their back, and I hate seeing that, especially in young women.

So many girls worry far too much about what men think about them, and this isn't helping. How many girls do you know who think they're fat, but you think they look great? There are people who end up spending so much time worrying about their makeup or impressing people with their outfits or drinking the right wine in front of the right people that they don't have time to have real personalities because they're so constructed anyway. There's no freedom in being so concerned with being the person everything expects you to be. And it makes me sad that this has become the norm for young women. I have been looked down on for NOT being vapid and materialistic and trendy.

I'm a girl who likes video games and reading (actual books, not "How to Make Your Man whatever") and Star Wars and being creative and wearing shoes that don't blister my feet. Apparently I'm supposed to feel like a freak for this.

I'm glad my lack of interest in this show has paid off. Of course, I don't see why they're so worried about "love-handles" for. There are worse things in this world than being chubby. For example having no clear personality save for cookie-cutter barbieism; a total lack of fashion sense and being pretty much dog-faced annoyances who'll slowly, but surely loose any respect or interest from whatever small, sad, little fanbase they aquire.

After all, Chubby girls often have what men really want: T&A. I mean, who wants a bean pole with a halloween mask tossed on top of it?

Wow that was terrible. Did they audition these girls or did they get picked because they checked the "I watch TMZ" box on the application. Jeez there are so many issues and topics they can discuss. So many possibilities for meaningful conversations. But they decide to harp on frivolous crap. I hope there aren't any young girls watching this because this display of ignorance will poison their mind.

I'd hate to dump on a NNN show but you gotta calls 'em like you sees 'em.

Well said anomalie, well said.

I feel really strongly about this stuff and I refuse to bite my tongue, even if I do work for Next New Networks. Like Todd said, this is constructive criticism. As you all know from my postings on the forums, I openly welcome criticism of my show. They should do the same.

It just breaks my heart that young girls could get hooked on this show and get brainwashed into believing this crap.

A friend of my family commited suicide and she had a lot of body-image problems and the girl was absolutely gorgeous. I've dated girls who were actresses and who were told by agents they were "too fat for acting" and trust me when I say this, they were not fat at ALL. I've dealt with my sister constantly asking me, "Do I look fat in this?" when the girl is a knock out. I've been around this stuff all my life and it pains me to think that some females aren't aware of what they have.

This girl (http://photos-f.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-sf2p/v56/205/61/508240234/n508240234_10901_8003.jpg) was in my theatre program, the year above me (her face is painted for a play - only photo of her I could find since her modelling portfolio is down). After she graduated, she moved to Toronto and got an agent or persue acting. Apparently, her agent told her to "trim up".

TRIM UP?! She's like 6 feet tall and probably weight 100 lbs. There is nothing to trim!!

The sad thing is that I know if I peruse acting professionally and get an agent, I'll be told the same thing. Obviously - I'm 5'6" and I weight around 140 lbs. In modelling, that is a plus size. I am not a plus sized girl. Yes, I have a bit of a tummy and I have love handles or a little flab, but so what? Most girls do - wouldn't you think maybe we're supposed to maybe have some meat on our bones? And no I'm not always happy about it (everyone has bad days), but I try not to let the media get to me. And when I do have an icky day, I'm pretty sure that I'm the only one who thinks I look disgusting. Plus, I've known a bunch of plus-sized women who are totally gorgeous! Case in point, my good friend Sabina (http://photos-a.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-sf2p/v167/184/18/72606925/n72606925_35675384_9084.jpg). She's a size 20. I have never thought of her as "fat", though.

I know I am not "TV pretty" and that's not me coming down on myself - the TV industry has fucking ridiculous standards and I don't have the little button nose they want. And despite my big nose and my 140 lbs with tummy rolls... I am still getting approached for modelling gigs (http://photos-a.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-snc1/v322/240/60/290600663/n290600663_2209632_114.jpg) (which I do freelance for artsy/conceptual/pinup stuff in my city).

Sooo.... eff off, media's expectations. I would rather have love handles than all my ribs sticking out. People shouldn't feel the need to be skinny or have to wear makeup every waking hour to be beautiful. Most of the time, these women are already beautiful. And confidence (not arrogance) on ANY body type is always much sexier than being another blondie stick figure clone.

(Sorry, I got a little angry there. I went through a period when I was younger of hating how I looked because of all these "flaws" that aren't really flaws, and I really find it upsetting when other people have to go through that. It's practically trained into us as girls/teens and then it's difficult to overcome as you grow up. TMI Weekly isn't helping.)

Yeah, my Crew and I have been dreading the prospect of trying to get on with NNN. I mean when you look at the Quality with Pulp, Thread and Indy you get an idea for the standards they have. Something that further gets amplified by Bobby's new show and Wes's blogs. Problem is, this one show has really thrown a wrench in the works of all the other shows and the level of professional behavior they show. If someone didn't know about Pulp, Bobby, Indy, Wes or Thread and they watched this episode of TMI they would clearly think it's just more podcasting crap, and not great DIY and Commentary-based shows an blogs.

It reminds me a lot of FoxNews. FoxNews really isn't that bad a channel, and they do have some great and respectable reporters; however, Bill O'Riely, Imus and a small handful of others that do not, in any way, represent the whole have really gotten the station the worst rep imaginable. It's like with MSNBC, CNN and other networks. When you allow something low-brow and in poor taste, it doesn't matter what kind of professional behavior comes out of the rest of your crews, people will just focus on the bad eggs and we all know what bad eggs do to a well stocked fridge.

Thanks Todd, it just annoys me that my Crew and I have spent Months working on our podcast. Not days, not weeks, we've spent the past seven months working on this project and I've been annoying poor Justin just about every week, as well as a few others, to help pick at their brains to get the Show to the quality that you see with the rest of the popular shows on NNN, hoping to just get it even considered. Then we see TMI... and we wonder, are we worrying over nothing?
