Premier Problem..

Ok,..i am facing a very strange problem in premier.

I have got some footage using my flipcamera. The video's formats and setting are as follows..
AVI, video compression:xvid , video sample size:24 bits

When i bring them in project window of premier. It can get played over there, and even when i double click on it, it gets open in the second monitor window and runs fine.
But when i drag that video in time line and play it. Nothing appears in the monitor window...
what could be wrong? some codecs are mission or something?..how can i fix it..please help

make sure you're not playing back via the dv device

I just downloaded some codec of xvid..i can hear the sound from the video ....but still there is no video..its just showing weird lines...

I just changed settings from DV but nothing different..

is there any particular codec or something that i need to install??????????????????

get the Klite Codec pack thats got codecs for pretty much everything
