I got my camera back, so I've been filming. When I export from Premiere, it's not HD! It has black bars on the top and bottom of the footage.

What am I doing wrong?

Perhaps it's just widescreen?

No, because it's HD footage. My question is, What are the right settings?

Oh sorry. I'm not quite sure then.

So, it's putting your HD footage in an SD frame?

HD should be 1280 x 720, or 1920 x 1080, but there isn't much need for full 1080 on the web. Just make sure your export dimensions are one of those.

Thanks. I'll try that.

HD can be wide screen... right?

Try the H.264 encoder...

No, can someone post a picture of their settings?

Im assuming that it is the same settings for premier and AE. So I'll tell you based on what I know about AE. When exporting select file, export. then select MOV and then options off to the size. You should see 3 buttons. Select size (should be the last one) and then select your HD size.

It's not the same layout, though. AE is easier to export. Can someone show me?

Are you using a regular export or adobe media encoder?

Do you export by going to file-export-export movie or file-export-adobe media encoder

You need to use adobe media encoder.

I'll post screenshot in a little bit.

I've tried to export a series of titles using the settings above, and the text is still grainy... any ideas why? I'm using the exact settings as above.

Do i need to change the sequence presets when making a new project? If so what to?

Sorry for the questions, but i really don't have a clue. I believe i am exporting at good quality settings but the text is grainy... Below are a couple of stills from the titles so show this:
