I have a Sony Camcorder... It has a microphone input but not a headphone input to hear what your capturing.

Is there any way that you can get like an adapter that can send the signal coming from the microphone into the camera and into headphones so you can moniter it?

What is it called and where can i get it? THANKS:bobby:

No. But if your camera has a A/V out then you can do this.

1. Take your camera A/V out cable that came with it and plug it into your camera.
2. Get a 1/8 inch to red and white composite cable. Radioshack has them cheap.
3. Get 2 composite couplers and attach the 1/8 to composite to the red and white composite outputs on your cameras A/V out cable.
4. Get a 1/8 inch audio coupler and put that on the 1/8 inch end of the 1/8 to composite cable.
5. plug your headphones in there.

^ Does that work well? Or do you get alot of interference when you do that?

I do it that way on my small camcorder, and it works fine.

Can't you plug in your headphones only half way into the A/V output and use it that way as well?

That won't work. You need:

Camcorder <-> AV Cable -> RCA coupler -> RCA to 3.5mm Female Jack

This cost me about $5, and is well worth it.
