Just something I find really interesting:
Recording songs that, when played backward, have a 'subliminal message'
I know there are supposed messages in:
Stairway to Heaven: Led Zepplin
Another One Bites the DUs: Queen
Hit me baby one more time/Oops I did it again:Britney Spears
Nobody's Perfect by Hannah Montana
A couple of Weird Als
Youtube these songs and tell me if you guys think they are real, also add any ones you discover.

look. If you notice that in all those videos, there is text to accompany it.
this is basically telling you what to look for.
try listening without the text.

It's rare for Backmasking effects to be real, I only recall a few cases of them being done for real, but they are usually done tongue in cheek because there is this taboo attached to them.
Like the Bloodhound Gang's "Blow your brains out", is full of subliminal messages telling you to kill yourself, but it's done in a way to make fun of people who think backmasking works.
There is absolutely no tested proof that backmasking (or any other subliminal messages for that matter) work, or are able to communicate anything, so it's nothing but a neat coincidence, or something done on purpose to mess with dedicated fans to see if they'll discover it. (Like for instance, I know that Trent Reznor on a few songs on Year Zero hid in the noise images that could only be seen when processed through a sound spectrogram.)

My favorite one is on Weird Al's song "Nature Trail To Hell". When you play it backwards there is a part that says Satan eats cheese whiz. It's funny.

Total bollocks. Ironically, real backmasking is almost exclusively used jocosely in reference to the absurd moral panic engendered.
Ever hear of the "Better by You, Better than me" trial? Judas Priest was accused of backmasking 'do it' into the song, which apparently was instruction for two boys to kill themselves. One died, the other just blew a large hole in his face. Sanity prevailed, and it was ruled that no such thing occured and that, even if it did, there is no reason to assume that this motivated the suicide attempt.
Lead singer Rob Halford made some excellent points: A). Why would he want his fans to kill themselves? If it really worked, he'd say something like 'buy more albums.' And this applies more generally. If we assume these are deliberate, why would Britney go to the effort of enticing men to inproper thoughts (forgetting for a moment that her sexy schoolgirl outfit was probably more than enough to entice men), when she should be shilling her merchandise? B). Without the listener being told what the passage is purported to say, most supposed backmessages sound like gibberish. He played back a passage he found in the song which he claimed said something like 'I wanted her to buy me a lolly and she did.' Not because he put silly backwards messages in, but rather to illustrate that, given the power of suggestion, people could easily percieve encoded language in backwards music.
Humans are astounding pattern readers, but they're also paranoid, reflexively afraid of change, superstitious and prone to cognitive biases. The backmasking nonsense is the unfortunately co-incidence of these factors. Rock'n'roll and heavy metal music attracted the ire of bozos who seemingly swallow all sorts of absurd nonsense about its evil doings.
One thing I've never seen addressed is why the infamous 'message' in Stairway to Heaven is so bizarre. Forget the references to Satan for a moment, and concentrate on the literal content: It doesn't make sense. It's a bunch of nonsense and several 'Satan's. Look at it further, and you'll find the instances of 'Satan' come from the reversal of 'there's,' which is used approximately a billion times in the song. With the exception of that, the vast majority of supposed messages are extremely short, and I have little difficulty accepting that there are millions of possible combinations of sounds that, played backwards, could sound like "do it," "kill yourself," "hail Satan" and so forth.
