I'm not sure how you guys around here felt about this movie...and hopefully I'm not alone...

But I found Kung Pow: Enter The Fist hilarious! I watched it in the theater when it first came out with my best friend at the time, and I literally peed my pants laughing.

I have not seen it since, though I still quote it occasionally.

Well, today, I had my friend over to watch some movies and when we were done, I showed him some clips off youtube just to give him a taste, and I almost peed my pants laughing again.

So, how do you guys feel about this movie and the possibility of a sequel? And feel free to quote it as I'm about to do!

The Chosen One - "I'll take a pound of nuts."
Nut guy - "THAT'S A LOT OF NUTS!"
*goes to get nuts*
Nut guy - THAT'LL BE FOUR BUCKS BABY! YOU WANT FRIES WITH THAT?!
*chosen one pays and leaves, nut guy pulls out phone*
Nut guy - HE JUST LEFT! WITH NUTS!

Dude I love that movie...I was actually at a movie last nite with sum friends and one was trying to quote a line (though he hadn't seen it). He kept saying it as "What do you get when you cross a bungie cord with a crow? My ass."...I was irrated becuz I've seen it 20 times and kept yelling at him "No, it's 'What do you get when you cross an OWL and a bungie cord? My ass." He kept it up cuz he thought he was right...so I rolled up a little piece of paper and smacked him on the head everytime he said it wrong (which was alot). And said "Now I'm gonna keep doing this till you learn to say it right!". Lol, it was funny.

Brilliant movie. Although it hasn't aged too well. The Matrix Cow scene is very dated.

The same, went and saw it for a friends birthday when it came out, and I lost my breath laughing at it.

That makes it even better! Adds to the cheese factor!

And to quote Ling Ling - "Weoweoweoweowe" or however you spell it...

I hated the movie the first time I saw it. The second time I saw it, I could not stop laughing, and it is now one of my favourite movies. I've been dying for a sequel for years.

I think it made me laugh about as much (if not more) than The Holy Grail did.

Same thing here. I love this movie, but I can't remember any parts of it. I have to Netflix it now...

Also, if you guys like Kung Pow, you should check out Riki-Oh: The Story of Ricky.

Oh my god, I love this movie so much. I was just coming back from a friends wake(pretty sad time) when my other friends told me to come over because they just rented this new movie out on DVD. I showed up, had a few drinks(and some other things) and we all sat around watching this. It was the funniest damn thing we had ever seen. We were laughing so hard at points that we actually had to backup the movie because we were missing parts of it. We've all seen this movie at least 20 times. It's quotes still inhabit our daily vocabulary, especially since our one friend is now dating a girl named Betty.

"I am a great magician. YOUR CLOTHES ARE RED!"

I also love this movie. I saw it when it first came out and I own it on DVD.

whats even funnier is that this was an actual movie, and this guy just added parts of himself and edited it to make it funny.

Kung Pow 2: Tongue of Fury

The sequel needs to be made sooo badly.

I love Kung Pow. I remember seeing it when I was ten or eleven in theaters. It was hilarious at the time and I would watch it every time I went to one of my friend's house. It was also the first dvd my family bought.

Last I heard, Steve Oedekerk was putting this as his top priority. He was looking through old kung-fu movies to find one that would work. This was all like a year ago, so hopefully he's made some more progress.

" And that day, the chosen one learned a valuable lesson about iron claws......THEY HURT LIKE CRAP MAN!!!"

"NOO!!! WIMP LO SUCKS AS A FIGHTER. A CHILD COULD BEAT HIM...WE-O-WE."

"he traveled many miles........sometimes he walked.......and sometimes.....he drove. and sometimes........he partied with the desert creatures."

"and who do you rule? the large dark nippled people?"

Brilliant film. I laughed myself into severe abdominal pain.

The cow bit is really dated (but who, around that period, didn't do a shitty Matrix parody?) -- it's unfortunate they chose to include that, as it's the sole groaner in an otherwise hilarious film.

This film started production almost immediately after The Matrix came out. When they had the idea to spoof it, no one else had done so. Because of the extreme amount of time it took to put this whole film together, by the time it finally came out, spoofing that scene was already old news. They decided to leave it in anyway because the spent a lot of effort(and money) to create the CGI cow fight with the Chosen One.

Has anyone seen the Thumb movies Steve Oedekerk made? Those are just as hillarious. Blair Thumb is probably my favorite...

"She took their heads and switched 'em. Like it was a sick game. And then she took their bodies, she switched 'em too. They came back lookin' like they's the same. But we all knew they'd been all switched up!"

That changes every year. The last official word was back in 2002 or 2003 I think. Steve said he was going through a bunch of old kung Fu flicks and seeing what he had to work with. Ever since then IMDB has it only marked as "Announced" and move the date back each year.

I've been looking for a sequel ever since the first one. It has enough of a cult following now that a sequel would make enough money to warrant a production cost. I know they had a "trailer" for the sequel at the end of the movie, but that was made mostly from the deleted scenes.

Because of this thread, I'm gonna watch this film again on my lunch break today. WEEE OOOOH WEEEE OOOOH

OMG i have seen this movie like 100 trillion times it is a classic, indymoguler and i would watch it all the time and imitate the fighting cow or "moonyou" lol and the uniboob chick lmfao that is hillarious. If anybody hasn't seen it go watch it NOW! Give it a minute "litterally it only takes a minute to get hooked with the fighting baby" and you will see its amazingness.

Wow when this movie came out I was the only person who loved it. I thought it was hilarious but no one else wanted to talk about it. I haven't seen it since but I hope its still funny after all these years.

I love all his thumb movies. Its so cool how the special features of all the dvd's are all the thumbs "in character" doing interviews. He's got to make a Lord of The Rings thumb movie. That would be fantastic.

I'll have to dig this one out and watch again... I've got it somewhere. Thought it was OK first time around, but it sounds like it's one that gets better on repeated viewing.

I hate to be negative, but I heard somewhere that there isn't going to be a sequel. That they never even really planned for one. (I hope someone can prove me wrong).

I love this movie so much. About four years ago, the local movie rental place was closing and selling two vhs tapes for a dollar. I got the matrix and kung pow, never had seen either before then. It was great.

How do you like my face to your foot style?

I'm glad there's no sequel, as I don't think it can realistically stand up to the masterpiece that was the first.

'I implore you to reconsider.'
