I started a videography business this last year; so any way the last wedding I did just before the ceremony started one of my cameras just died, I usually work with 3 cameras. It has me so pissed right now trying to figure out how to edit it, ugh.
anyway, let out work frustration here I guess...

Look on the bright side, your doing a lot better than i am. I dropped out of school at 16 (last january) to start my own production company. It went well for about 6 months, and i made a shit load of money. After that, i started having trouble getting clients to work with me (because of my age) and now Im working full time as a busboy at a country club just to pay my rent and bills. The moral of the story is: stay in school kids, don't be stupid like me.
Sorry for kinda thread-jacking this thread.

I got kind of lucky. When i was still in school, i did some pro-bono (sp?) work for a woman who started a program for teaching people with autism and Alzheimer's to paint. I did some training videos for her, and she really liked them (even though i thought they weren't as good as they could've been, but she had a deadline and i was in school, so...). She referred me to a local filmmaker she knew, who went by the name of Billy Yeager. I worked with him for a number of months, mostly editing films, but doing some camera work as well. Through him i made lots of contacts locally, and worked with a good few of them. So i dropped out of school like an idiot, thinking that this is what i wanted my life to be (the money was insane for a 16 year old kid). Eventually, Billy quit filmmaking to pursue his music career (another case of needing to pay the rent. I still worked with other people for a while, but the money was not steady enough, so i got a second job bussing tables. Eventually, the film work started to dry up, and i was left working a full time job bussing tables.
Im only 17 now, so Im considering going back to school (though i wouldn't graduate until im 20), but the only thing im sure about is that i made a huge mistake. Especially in countries where education is free, i don't think kids should even be allowed to drop out of school until they are 18. I still want to pursue a career in film, but for now i just need to focus on paying the bills.

My buddy got a GED at 16 and never went to school again. You don't have to go through all 4 years of high school.
