I only have Window Movie Maker on XP right now for my editing and and i would just like to know which way to save a video would be best for Youtube.

Should I save in Avi format, or should i save it in High Quality(large) format? Which one has better Youtube quality?

Also, is there any other optains that are better than those to save from Window Movie Maker? How about High Quality(NTSC)? Or video for Local Playback(2.1)?

Which one is the best?

I always thought that AVI files weren't compressed but WMV's are, so you'll lose quality with compression. I could be wrong though. Just look at the file size and whatever option gives you the biggest file size is best.

wmv is microsofts own compressed form. it can be saved it lots of sizes. AVI can be saved in only one size(for windows movie maker); 720x560. youtube video is normally 640x480 wich wmv has as a size.

WMV is microsofts own format so lots of editing software might not be able to ope it.

I think AVI is the best quality but WMV is a smaller file size.
