Hi its pinnacle here, Ive just visited the IndyMogul blog and wondered why don't they let us post our own blog there as well.
To show tutorials and all of that kind of stuff.
i was thinking moderaters can approve if its okay or not okay.
and sorta make it so there is a section in the forums that says your blog or something and thats where all the blogs are
Sound like a good idea?

No. Because of two reasons.
A) Trolls and Spammers
B) Pages and pages of info.

no because ppl would treat it as a forum and want to post like crazy. but if the moderators like had to approve them thats really the only way it would work.

1. Allowing anyone to post on the blog is a liability. What happens if someone signs up on the blog and puts a bomb recipe? That makes us liable since we're allowing it on our frontpage.
2. Quality control is also an issue, with hired bloggers, they know what they are getting, by randomly allowing people to submit their own blogs, they can't control the quality.
3. To much information. To many people submitting their own tutorials would bury legitimate information in a sea of fuzziness. Also, what keeps people from posting their own iterations of the same tutorial over and over again? Do we really need 10 blog posts on Halo Armor? Then 10 more blog posts from people who hate Halo armor?
4. Contracts. Because the site is held liable for what is posted on the frontpage, and because they want to maintain quality, they HIRE people for the job, they have to sign contracts and be paid. They can afford (and prefer) a handful of people occasionally posting useful information rather than a swarm of hundreds of random users posting questionable information. What happens if someone posts something bad? The site can't fire them, there is nothing to keep them in check. The possibility of being fired and not being paid is enough to make most of us strive from some degree of quality and consideration of the audience.
5. There is already a place to post your own tutorials, HERE ON THE FORUMS, there are many options open to you. Either post your stuff in YOUR PROJECTS, where people can comment on it, OR, film your tutorial and submit it to the show (Front page, but SUBMIT button at the top of the site), OR, submit it to ME in the thread that I set up SPECIFICALLY FOR THIS REASON:

Submit to Wesley's Weekly Presents, and sometimes when I am busy with a project, or out of town, or sick, i'll post a submitted tutorial by a Moguler, and credit them in the post so people can find out about their work.

We already allow people to post their blogs on the Your Projects section. If you want to promote your blog and your tutorials you're totally allowed to do so.
It's just we don't have the manpower or the resources to undertake a blog posting service. It would take up a lot of server resources (we have our own servers and stuff that is on them takes up space and thus be extension takes up our money) to offer a service that is already offered by other websites in a superior form.
If you want to make a tutorial blog, go to Blogger and start one up, then start posting links to it in Your Projects.
