Ok, here is the first chapter of our Kung fu flick. It requires some more editing and music (we'll do this when completely finished) and just more tweeking.

I'll have to run that by the other guys, but it does have that Saturday Morning Kung Fu Theater sound to it.
:steve:NINJA MAGIC KUNG-FU:steve:
The more I say it, the more I like it thanks.

The DealMakers part has changed from the beginning. but he is nowhere near the main characters of influence, of coarse this could end up changing.

I haven't gamed, table-top or other, in a few years. But I still want to.:fcross:

take no offense i know i have no room to talk but the angle cuts were kind of bad every time a new line was said the angle changed it is good to have a lot of angles but that was ALOT of angles and i dont know how to say it but the audio just seemed weird it seemed off becuase you started each angle over maybe try to film the whole scene in each angle then edit them toghether instead of doing a line stopping camera then putting it somewhere else maybe you should do the scene once all the way through for each angle that way you can edit it to were the camera can be looking at you as you say something and halfway through you saying it it goes to the other person to catch their response in facial expressions i mean it is a good concept and pretty ok dialogue i am just given my honest opinion

Sickness, I agree with you on the angles. The other guy, Dealmaker, is directing this movie and thats what he wanted. It was a bitch to edit as it is. He kept changing the lines and I had to mesh it together. Of I can't get him to write the script before hand. We (read I) never know what we're filming until we start. But at least I have someone to film with. I can't wait to finish this project because the next one will have GUNS:fcross:!!
Felix, I did live action before there was a name for it, long before "AMPGARD", or "NERO" my last time was at Rice University. And I started rpg's when D&D was still a small paper booklet.

I definetely agree with sickness about the angles, make sure in dialogue you cover angles, this is when you do the same scene over and over from any angles you want, so if you have two over the shoulder angles then you film the whole scene from one, and then change to the other angle and redo the scene. The dialogue was reallyyyyy clunky, like George Lucas would cringe but I guess that comes with the genre. But yer just iron out the editing, in my opinion dialogue can be much harder to edit than action as everytime you cut the dialogue must match up, try and do the dialogue the same every time and then take the best audio and layer it across the whole edited scene, this will sound much better although it could bring up the problem of syncing.

very true but you can just trim all your shots to match up to the syncing

Yer but then doing that can have later mouth movements even more out of sync, trust me I made a film called Darkness of Man which is 5 mins of conversation and that was an absolute BITCH to edit, I'm talking days of fine tuning, you need to be prepared to rehearse as much as possible and redo shots over and over if you want it perfect, remember patience goes hand in hand with success.

The main problem with anymore editing is that we don't have the original footage any more. The tape has come up missing and the video was erased accidently :grumble: So to do sound we are thinking about just doing it over in the studio. We also have limited battery life where we are filming. Maybe 90 minutes, so we film it fast with as few takes as possible (it would be less, without the damn angles he wants). This will all change after this project.:fcross:
