What do I THINK will happen next? Most likely what we've been doing for the last 20 years, just about jack-nothing.
What do I HOPE will happen next? The people of Zimbabwe will get sick of Mugabe's crap, and overthrow him.

Agreed. However that could cause a bloody coup.

Agree with Wes.
Mugabe will die in a hospital bed in the most affluence and luxury he can manage. Nobody will bother to get involved, as Africa is strategically useless. He will persist playing dictator for the rest of his life.
I hope, based on some absurd, deep-seated longing for justice, that Mugabe's people will nail him to the fucking cross for his plundering, his mismanagement and the gallons of blood on his hands, but I sincerely doubt it.
Sorry kids, but sometimes the bad guy does just fine, thank you very much.

Unfortunately so. And some ever survive dozens of assassination attempts.
Watching Valkyrie this last weekend, it struck me as to how extraordinarily lucky Hitler was.
Not only did he survive more than 15 assassination attempts, I recall an account from WWI where a trench Hitler was in was hit by a mortar round, and everyone in the trench died or were injured EXCEPT for Hitler.
Sometimes the bad guy can be far luckier than the good guy, and by "sometimes" I mean most of the time.

It is kind of...fishy.

i might be wrong
but a Canadian officer (not sure of his rank) was working his ass off over there
and then didn't get no back up from the UN
so he decided to stop his volunteer duty there
