Energy Drinks

This past year I have begun to drink energy drinks. Lots and lots in order to stay up late with homework and get through the next day.

Anyone have any drinks that might be helpful in terms of keeping me awake.
Right now I drink Arizona RX Energy for the most part. I had some Bawls at Magfest and am trying to find some of that around here. Mana Potion also looks nice but expensive.

Monster and Red Bull work, from what I've been told, but I don't drink them. A friend of mine had a Monster to help him annotate a novel. He started shaking and couldn't do any work for a while.

What do you drink and what do you suggest?

I would avoid them to be honest. Energy drinks are terrible for you. Having said that; I used to enjoy Amp and Full Throttle. I hate the bitterness of Redbull. Ever since I cut back on the caffeine, my heart goes crazy whenever I have an energy drink.

If I really need a punch, i'll drink NOS, those usually work beautifully.

Otherwise, I really like Steaz, it has a nice energy blend, and doesn't seem to be as intense, but still keeps me awake. It's got Acai, Yerba Mate, Green Tea, and Guarana extract in it, so it really keeps me up, but i'm not really "shaky".

jk, I agree with Mitch, just don't fall asleep. To concentrate, you need protein. Sugar and those drinks gives a temporary boost, but then you crash.

i drink a little bit of everything. rockstar, red bull, monster, full throttle. i usually just drink monster, yet i get no energy from it. i feel like my body has become accostumed to it

I really like Red Bull. I'm not one of those people who drink them for the fad...cause its cool. I drink it for the taste, saying that - when someone offers me a monster or a rockstar I say no. Also I don't even drink it when I need an energy boost.

Last year I had an average of one a day. If I didn't, then I would feel really tired.

When I drink one, I get really concentrated, and I seem to block out background noise and stuff like that.

It's weird. But what ever you do, stay away from Monster. A friend of mine drank 2 of cans the size of Jolt's (I don't remember the name of these) before a race (motocross), and now his kidney's are ruined, and this was no rumor. This was told to him by the doctor when he was rushed to the ER at the track.

So I know I sound hypocritical, telling you to stay away from energy drinks, as I say that I drink them all of the time - but I'm not one of those kids who just down 3 or 4 of them to get a "buzz"

I love tea! This is what I'm drinking now!
I've got a shelf full behind me, clear out Walmart whenever they get a new shipment (they get very small shipments of this stuff.)

Have some Jolt energy Gum here too but have yet to try it.

Still. I got about three hours of sleep last night so this stuff is helping me get through the day!

So your saying nobody's ever offered you some of their monster or rockstar. You either need to get some friends to begin with, or leave the internet and find some real friends because all of your comments do nothing but bash people for no good reason. Nothing you say contributes to filmmaking.

Sorry to bring this back up again, but I just wanted to say thanks for your help.
Thanks to schoolwork I have discovered my ability to stay up for 42 hours now on ~one hour of sleep (~4-5 this morning). Getting through today has been hell and I still have work to get done. I was hoping that maybe some of this stuff would help make things easier. I'll be sure to try everything suggested.
