Well, this is the day many people have been
waiting for. They asked us if we were going to
renovate our site, and redesign it...and the whole
team agreed that it did need a makeover.

So in the past month, we've been redesigning
our website, AND writing our upcoming film
which is done TODAY.

OUR NEW WEBSITE OPENS TODAY AT 5:30
PACIFIC TIME...LIKE A HALF AN HOUR FROM NOW.

So do the right thing, and CHECK IT OUT!
http://www.et-films.net (http://www.et-films.net/)

Everyone here at ET Entertainment thanks
you for all your support. Without our viewers
we would not be able to continue providing
entertainment to our fans. Thanks again.

why is your website hosted on a limousine site?

What's wrong with it being hosted on a limousine site? PM me, I'll tell you why.

Well ET is trademarked
but ET Entertainment isn't.

I've worked for 1 month
day and night to design that site
and only like 3 people have left
a comment in the blog and only 20
have been to the site since launched.

I have an embedded counter on the website
and the information gives me is correct and it
is proven correct by myself. I know this counter
works correctly...The site has been up for almost
a week now..and 20 views? come on. My colleagues
and I are very dissatisfied. We are a growing company
and things have not been good lately and this 20 views isn't
making things any better. We just had to push the deadline even
further for our upcoming movie. It's very sad to see it being pushed.

I don't mean to offend, but to me it looks like you're just like all of the other begining filmmaker's on these forums and the only difference is that you have a website. I mean, there are lots of more experienced filmmakers on the forums with websites, but they don't spam and they don't get upset when nobody visits their websites.

Well, I'm not a beginning filmmaker. I've been doing this
for over 5 years. It's just that BAD LUCK always strikes me
and runs through my family.

I am paying for this website out of my pocket and
there is a huge hole in my pocket right now. I don't
have enough dough to keep this site running. I am
already 100s of dollars over budget on my next film
and it would be nice for at least 1 person to donate
5 bucks or something...I mean I have 10 other people
in my company...they didn't spend a PENNY for anything..

I have to do all the work on EVERYTHING.....

You are lucky to work with/ in New Spark Films...
I hope it gets a 'Spark' and becomes very very big.

I know mine won't.

You could turn that post into a pilot episode for a soap opera.

hey, get over yourself. everybody is poor and cant afford crap. but webspace is cheap and if you cant afford it, then get a myspace page. otherwise, fork over the $30 a year for a website, make some quality stuff and then let the masses come to you.

5 years? sorry. but your movies arent very good. Ive been filming for less than a year, and might are better. all i can say is spend more time on them. write a better script. your actors look dead and unsatifying, direct them tell them what needs to be done. instead of paying for a site that no one is viewing, use that money to buy a camera, some people are turned off by low quality. make a myspace for your filmcrew. thats what i did and i get alot of views. you need better camera shots. more variety. just spend more time on your movies. trust me.

Oh wow, there's a huge disparity between your website quality and your film quality.

As in the website looks very professional and sleek, but the films are mediocre and low quality at best.

Yes, you are still a beginning filmmaker. I hate to break it to you, but you, me, and almost everyone in these forums are beginners/amateurs/indy filmmakers. Just because you have 10 of your friends that get together every now and then to make a short film, doesn't mean you're a professional.

I mean hell, I'm pursuing a degree in film, I've worked on tons of shorts, made a few of my own, and I've even worked on a fairly high-budget film that's due out in theaters next spring, but I'm still an amateur.

Lastly, sob stories aren't going to attract audiences to your films, quality is. That isn't to say that your films aren't good, or that you're going to need a $10,000 camera, but it's your narrative style and difference(s) that will make people watch your films and check your site. You can't just have a "flashy" website featuring mediocre films that are shot the same way every other beginner shoots a film, and expect people to get excited about your work.

I can say that all your camera work is done quite professionally, but that's about it I'm sorry to say. Listen to these folks, they know their stuff.

Just give the guy a break. He's enthusiastic and wants some support. Who here that does this professionally hasn't asked for money to make their projects? He's learning that this may not be the best place to do this.

There's a lot of negativity on here recently. Is it jealousy? Frustration that you own projects haven't made you rich? Or what?

I thought the forums here on Indy Mogul were for helping each other and offering guidance and ideas. We all share a goal, that's to be filmmakers. Some of us have a lot of knowledge we can share with the newer/younger filmmakers.

Also remember there's tons of children that visit this site, some of you need to use common sense. If you were talking like you post, you'd lose work in real life.

Some of the worse offenders hide behind a clever ID, if you used your own name (not the kids, safety first) you wouldn't behave like this.

We're all film geeks in one way or another, remember that.
