Hey all,

I'm in SERIOUS need of a new camera. I have an 11 year old camera back when they still advertised Color viewfinders, and I have a digital camera that basically limits me to only shooting COMPLETELY still shots. I don't wanna break the bank (my banks pretty small, lol), so I only wanna spend around $300. I saw the episode on the Sanyo C40, but since it has no mic jack that doesn't really leave me with any room to expand my film quality:grumble:. If you guy's have any ideas on some cameras that would be cool (Witha freakin' K!!!)

Regards,
Gregor Lumpkus

I know that the Westhavenbrook crew uses Hi-8's.

If you go to Sockbaby.com, you can see what it looks like.

Hi-8's go cheaper, since the big focus is "DV" now, the one that John and them use is pretty old, and has a focus ring, and a mic jack.

But since Hi-8 might be hard to find in a few years since it's a waning format, you might want to invest in a decent Canon miniDV setup, if that bothers you.

If you want, you could just get that cheaper Sanyo rig, and get a seperate Digital Audio Recorder for the sound.
