First of all, Welcome to the Indy Mogul Forums Grace!

Friday The 13th:

I think that alot of people had pretty high expectations of this movie in the beginning because the first thing you would do after watching it would be compare it to the original so it had alot to live up to.

So did it do it for me? Sadly, No. I know that this "re-make" was supposed to be different and they definatly improved the effects but I really had problems with how it was edited. I didnt like how it starts with a group of people and then swiftly moves onto another without some sort of cross over. I also think that the acting was very over dramatic at times.

Onto the good stuff, I think its definatly one of the most gore-filled movies of the past year and being a big fan of horror flicks this is what had originally attracted me to the movie and I feel the movie balances out Gore and "shock horror" in a great way.

I'm not a big fan of "re-makes", thats because I am so used to watching the original and then why I try to compare a "re-make" it's like comparing the original to a version shot in someones back yard.

Rating - 6/10

well i gotta say i actually enjoyed this movie alot. is it as good as the original, of course not, but no one expected it to be. when i went into see this movie i tried not too look at it in comparision to the orginal, i just tried to looka t it in the terms of its own movie, thats what really made me able to enjoy it as much as i did. it was nice to see a slasher flick out in theatres again, nice contrast to all these "the ring" type horror movies that have been coming out recently.
id give it a 7/10

Just to comment on what you said about movies such as the ring coming out and things, Is anyone else getting sick of freaking Saw?

I hear they're going to Saw 7? Isn't the franchise getting old?

thank you for brining this up because i am absoultley getting tired of saw. i dont know why people regard it as a good horror movie, its not even a good movie in genreal. they should stop wasting money financing this franchise and move on to diffrent projects.

I mostly enjoyed the new Friday The 13th because I saw it in a HUGE theater that was sold out, so that really added to the experience.

I think if you don't see Friday The 13th on Friday The 13th, the experience isn't very noteworthy.
