Hey guys.
Well since ive been working my butt off for Hangar 27, it has come to my attention that many of the people in the community that is dedicated to the old show would like to see my project gone as it "isnt like the original" or some bull like that.
Im in a really tough situation here. I've released updates for the series and because of that, about 54 people have subscribed to my channel. I don't want to let them down as one of them made the intro to the series (which sounds totally kick ass) and im afraid of possibly having to shut down as pre-production has been going very rough.
Should i listen to them? Or should i forget and keep on going?

Man, forget the jerks and just keep going. Don't let others tell you what you should do.

The guys that are trying to shoot you down have been waiting 15 plus years to see the show make a comeback. Their expectations are greater than anyone could meet.
You've got to show them that while your project isn't going to be exactly the same as the show, that you are a fan, not some evil executive trying to milk the diehard fans.
And if that fails, just remember:

No problem. Just make sure that I get a role in the inevitable Street Sharks reboot. >_>

You know, i've been talking with these two guys over on forum.swatkats.us and they've been trying to make a Swat Kats FILM. Something CGI while using HD live action background shots (bing!).
Should i go with the series? Or replace the series with the film?
I am so confused right now. :ohsnoes:

I loved Swat Kats as a kid......:D
I dunno what you should do and don't think I should tell you. All I can say is the standard "Do whatever you're more drawn to"

Thats just it. I'm making this thing without a doubt, but i have no idea which way to go. I could go for a webseries thats mostly not like the series (with 75% staying true to the original show) Or i could go with a film project that will be a bit complicated but is EXACTLY like the original show.
Gah, either way i dont want to let the people who subscribed to me be let down. They've been waiting for this since January. :(

If I were doing this, I'd choose whatever I knew that I could do better.

Yeah. The problem is, they would like me to shoot it/ edit. And they'll do the CGI work. I know i can hold up my end, but can they?

Hmm...well, I have seen the stuff that Xanatos dude makes, and it's pretty spot on. I don't know.
