Mini DV tape to computer.

I need some suggestions on this. So I am using the sony HDR-FX7 which uses mini dv tapes. I read the manual and it said the only way was iLink. So I looked around my computer, dont have iLink port :(. So I go to my desktop comp (thinking put it on there then put it to a flash drive then bring it to my other comp with has the editing software) and it does not have iLink. So right now I cant put it on a computer. I need to edit this vid ASAP, but im totally stuck. so just need some suggestions on this.
p.s. im using Sony Vegas Pro 8.

iLink is just another name for Firewire.

If it says you need an iLink port, you're gonna have to get a Firewire card.
