From a Book to a Movie

Aight!
Basically I want to get started on a project that is based off a book. Partly because I really lack creativity and can't come up with good stories that fast, and it would just be a fun project I think. I read tons of books, mainly Stephen King, but haven't found anything that I could take from the book form and put it into a movie form.

My question for you is; Do any of you guys have a book you think I could use, or even a book you would like to see as a Movie? Any suggestions would be nice, that would at least get me somewhere.

I manage a REALLY low budget, so not anything you think would cost more than... 5 cents? lol

Well see the thing is, you can't just go and make a movie
based on a book. You need all sorts of permissions
and contracts. I'm not sure of he exact procedure.
Also, the creativity comment... use what you know
to make something new.

Yeah bud, you even show your screenplay of a book to someone and there will be lawyers jumping down your back. You need a mutal agreement with the author and publisher and contracts, written permissions, etc: it is a lot of work and money. DO NOT try it. Write your own idea.
