I was trying to contact some people, and the so called "expert never answered" my emails and phone calls back. So I could try and make an interview about the subject. the script is a Sci-Fi amd suspense which I am looking forward to. I am trying to figure out some traits for my main character which he got abducted by aliens... can someone help me out or try to figure out how would be his traits?
Thank you Very much!

I have tried that, but the info is like not relevant at all ,really I am kinda ticked off. I tried with wikipedia( not a good sorce to get info...I could make history with wikipedia for Pete's sake, articles really short , but I feel there is something more.

Just make shit up. Thats your best bet. There's no irrefutable evidence that alien abductions have occured.

+1 to make shit up. Why make shit up? because everybody else who touched on this subject did two. Let your imagination run wild. You may wish to have a logical justification for things (like why the aliens are so fascinated with the human anus or humans at all).

Somehow, it doesn't surprise me that somebody who identifies themselves as an "Alien Abduction Expert" would turn out to be a flake. They probably decided not to respond to you under the assumption that you are with the government and trying to ytick them for some implausible reason relating to a secret underground facility below Denver International Airport, or something.
But, yeah, since most of your audience has never been abducted by aliens, you can pretty much do whatever you want with the subject. If anything, avoiding the "expert" view will help you step outside of the existing mythos and add something new to the subject!
P.S. Aliens only abduct condiment salesmen. They are researching mayonnaise peddlers across the galaxy.

Brainstorm some ideas and back them up with witty logic. This can be tough but will look and sound cool.
Example:
Aliens invade earth.
Why?
Aliens invade earth for resources.
Whats wrong with their own?
They are further along than humans and have used up all of their own resources.
(not completely original)
I'm sure thats about as clear as mud to some people but I hope this helped.

if you can't think of a script heres an easy way to get you started:
for example: JAWS: man scared of water tries to stop shark
E.T: boy makes friends with alien tries to get it home
so jut think of a basic plot and work around it thats what i do!!!

If you are still wanting to do research, they always have those UFO File shows on the Discovery Channel. They usually only show them during the day.
But most of those shows are cliche alien stuff. I would say try to make something up yourself. You have much more creative license that way.

It would help if you'd tell us what sort of information you need.

Don't over think it! It's your story, outline it first and treat it like it your child. If the story is meant to be written your gut won't let you down. Just stay away from cliche stuff.
Writing shouldn't be stressful, make it fun!

Personally, I don't script at all.
It makes it too unbelievable unless you have some super-good actors...which I don't.
I just tell them the scenario and have them act the way they would act under the given circumstances. It lends itself to the plausibility and makes the delivery much better.
Try it!

Personally, I think that unless you want to do something stereotypical, like a typical action film. OF COURSE! Doing something on your own and from scratch is a GREAT way to be an original thinker in making stuff. Otherwise, go and research a bit. But it never hurts to start things off on your own.

Normally I'd say do research, but since this is a fictional topic, I guess that's pretty much pointless. Here's what I'd suggest:
First, when you make decisions about your plot, settings, and characters (or when your characters make decisions, for that matter) you need to ask yourself WHY these things are. The most successful sci-fi is based on logical reasoning. If you can back it up with a believable explanation, you can make anything happen.
Second, think about real-life people and experiences that might be close to what your characters and events might be. For example, if you can't find research about UFO abductees, how about trying to find information about people who have been kidnapped? What kind of emotions did they and their families experience during that time? Think about drawing those parallels to reality in order to give your characters and events a realistic sense of depth.
Well, hope that helps a bit.

ThreeOnAMeathook is right. A lot of times scripts aren't very good for amateur filmmaking. But, I don't think you have to do any research for your script. Our script writer Trevor likes to throw in random, unique things (that make sense) to keep our movies original.

A script is always a good thing! Without it the film will be flat and how the story flows will be off.
