(NEw question, ignore title)
I currently do not feel like getting dazzle and setting it up, so I am going to use my dvd to record my xbox games.
I looked at
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vZBalJ7_ps0&NR=1
And I have everything needed besides a blank dvd which I am going out to buy tomorrow.
But, before I buy it, I have to ask.
Can I re-use a blank disk?
Because I just like randomly recording things...

well, if you get a DVDR then no, you cannot.
However, I'd recommend getting a DVD+RW! (AKA DVD rewritable) I think they can be written on, like 1000 times or something like that.
I use mine alot, cuz sometimes I'll download videos, and I kinda hate watching most things on my computer, so I'll burn it on an RW and play it on my tv.
I do want to ask, to make sure. You do understand when it talks about a DVD recorder, its talking about the kind that hooks up to your tv and records like a VCR, only on DVD disks, and not the kind that is in your computer (or hook up to your computer if you have an external one like I do)

I am going to make lots of videos of my xbox gameplay, but I don't want to get dazzle because there is so many cables and things that I have to buy and set up.
Does anybody know how I can record my xbox for under 70$
without buying lots of cables and having a hard time setting them up?

I'm not a hundred percent sure, but I believe if you plug your camera into your TV via the RCA cables, you can record footage on the TV just by pressing record on your camera.

I think you can play your games on the computer and use CamStudio to record it.

But my camcorder (cannon fs100) can't do that i dont think.
The tv can only show whats on the camera, the camera cant show whats on the t.v.

I am going to buy a tv tuner card to record footage from my xbox 360 and put it on my computer and onto youtube.
I am going to use a usb tv tuner, and i am going to plug it into my tv, then into my computer with the usb cable.
Will this work?
And does anybody know any good ones under 70$?

Sometimes your just going to have to do something you don't want to do (i.e. mess with a lot of cables or whatever) to get the result you want. You might have to dish out some money as well. I just don't get why people don't want to do any work and expect everything to be so easy. And, honestly, if you don't like what you have to do, then just stop asking for easier ways. You've asked this before and we've answered you. Sometimes it just doesn't get any easier.

Wow, you waited a whopping 17 minutes before pestering us for another reply. Even if one of us was to know a magical solution, do you really think that kind of impatience would encourage us to answer?
If your camera can't do it, perhaps you should ask around and see if there's anyone with a camera that can do it. If no one has a camera that can do it, your other options would be to either use a gaming PC to play a PC version and screencap it (as previously stated in this topic) or to find a cheap video capture card.

This may seem obvious, but are you certain you've got a DVD player that does recordings?
The reason I ask is because I've yet to set foot in more than a single household that has one of these. If you've got one, then of course it shouldn't be an issue.
As for whether said machine can record multiple things on a disc, you'll have to check your manual.
As for cyrax037's suggestion - given the cost, it's far easier to buy a spindle of ~100 blank DVD-Rs online than it is to buy a few DVDRWs. Given the price and convenience, I've no idea why DVDRWs are still on sale (but then again, a spindle of DVD-Rs in physical shops can cost an unreasonably large amount). I'd not pay more than £16 or so for a hundred, although I've no idea how much they cost in other parts of the world.

Well, a friend of mine bought this capture card,
http://www.amazon.com/Diamond-VC500-Touch-Capture-Device/dp/B000VM60I8/ref=cm_lmf_tit_1_rdssss0
but she hasn't tested it out yet. But i hear its really awesome, and there is all kinda of videos on youtube, explaining and reviewing it, all from people who are doing the exact same thing you want to do. Is in your price range too! But search for that on youtube, and you'll find tons of reviews!

Its more convenient for me, to use a rewritable for 99% of my DVD burning needs, cuz I don't want to KEEP it permanetly. If I just got a spindle of 100 dvds, it would be a HUGE waste. I can get my tv shows I miss through the week, burn them for watching on the tv, and when I'm done I wipe it and get it ready for the next burning! If you don't plan on keeping the stuff, RWs are the way to go. Maybe they arn't as cheap, but they are worth it to keep from wasting the dvd. They are greener!;)
