Adobe Premiere Elements 3 not on vista?

Hey
well I got a new computer and I have PE3 and for some reason I can edit but not capture. Does it not work on vista? Or am I doing something wrong? I put my camera cord into the firwire port in the front of my comp and my comp detects it but PE3 says the camera is offline? any help?!

Well and my dad just bought Sony Vegas Movie Studio. (cus there was this rebate that made it free!) so does movie studio do Stop Motion?

Well On premiere elements it had a button that said stop motion. Does Vegas have a feature like that?

Well, did you ever press it? What does it do? I'm sure you can replicate it in Vegas.

It has a capture screen. And it says grab frame. you click that and again and again. to create stop-mo.

I have Premiere elements 2.0 Works great on Windows Xp but do i have to upgrade to 3.0 for it to work on Vista? Would be great if i could get a response with a link to download a patch. Also. When I load it up it says that my sound card doesnt have the ability to record audio in... I dont know what its talking about. I got a new computer today and dont realy want to upgrade to 3.0 unless i have to
