Sony Vegas Problems

I have Sony Vegas 8 Pro,and have not had any problems up until this point.But while working on my latest project,the program consistently freezes and I get a non responsive message,and I have to close the program.This has happened every time I opened it,sometime it takes longer than others,and I have had time to work,but eventually the same thing always happens.I have tried cleaning out my computer,but nothing seems to work.Does anyone know what is going on or any ways to try and fix it?

I have the Platinum version and mine did that a while back. Turns out, one of my sticks of RAM went out. Don't know if that's your issue, but I replaced the RAM and it started working like normal.

Yeah, RAM may be the issue. Also, try removing and then reinstalling the program from scratch. To help clean up your computer, download ccleaner (http://www.ccleaner.com/) this identifies and removes unused or outdated software components which can slow down and confuse your pc :)

meh i tried uninstalling and and reinstalling it and nothing,I still can't get it to work long enough to render it

What type of video files are you using?
Are you using large still pictures?

i used the clear media option to take all the media out that wasn't being used.and its still running slow,but it got all the way through rendering the video

and I was using wmv,i had some pictures,not sure how big though.some were likely fairly large

in Vegas 8 if you try to use pictures over 2000 pixel either horizontal or vertical it will choke. One of the few things they fixed in Vegas 9.
