There is no way to get one for free. Honestly, a .com domain name is only like, 10$. I guess it comes down to how much you really want a website.

If you knew how the internet worked, you'd know you can't get one for free.
Essentially, when you connect to a web site, a computer somewhere is sending you the data so you can look at the website. For example, when you go to www.indymogul.com, a computer server somewhere sends you the website so you can look at it.
When you're buying a domain and webhosting, you're essentially renting out a computer meant to send it out for you whenever somebody types in your website's url, 24/7.
If you really wanted to and had the expertise, you could turn your own computer into a server. However:
1) Your internet would be slow from sending everybody the information
2) You'd have to leave your computer turned on all the time
3) You'd be vulnerable to hackers
4) Seeing as you think there's some way to get a domain site for free, and don't have a job to afford it, you probably do not have the necessary computer skills to do this.
Hope this helped!

if you create your website you can get a .co.nr name that redirects when you type it in to your website. All you have to do is put their tiny logo on your front page which is quite small.
Just type in .co.nr into google after you have created your website and follow the instructions on one of the first pages.
