I was recently asked by my sister to film her wedding (Since I'd be cheaper than ANY Professional Wedding Videographer.)

The only Problem is that her wedding is going to be at the beach, here in Florida.
Now I've had at least 6 years of experience in filmmaking, but never have I been the one responsible for outside audio recording. So my question is, what microphone(s) or audio setups would be best to record in such a windy location?

No rush, since the wedding is not until January 2nd, 2010.

Any Help would be appreciated... And try to keep answers under $2,000.

There's plenty of good mics out there and plenty of threads on indy mogul on good mics. 2,000 dollars is plenty of money for audio and you can get yourself a really good mic. Since there will be wind outside its a good idea to get a dead cat which blocks out wind noise.

Im in Florida as well, and i've shot at the beach tons of times. Even on the calmest of days, with my Rode VM and dead cat, the audio was still almost unusable. On windier days i have to cut the audio out all together. My HV20 has a windcut feature that helps some, but not much. I really don't know what to tell you. Lavaliers and then have the talent facing away from the wind maybe?
