What really gets me is that in the video the kid actually outruns the cop! Funniest damn thing i've seen in a while :)

I hope this kid gets grounded for the rest of his life and the only thing he can do is breathe, eat, and sleep.

Am I being a little too harsh?

if i was the cop i would shoot him in the leg to make him stop running :D

If I were this kids dad, I would have him grounded while his mom was home, but behind her back I would be all "Good job son". :P I'm going to be a great father.

if i was the father and the kid took my car, the kid would be dead

Well, it would depend on who's car he stole.

Haha this is win, pure win!

Hopefully his dad doesn't give him the same type of punishment my uncle did. When my cousin was 14 he went for a joyride (nobody got hurt and there was no damage to the car) so my uncle told him that since he went driving 2 years before he was allowed to get his license he would have to wait until 2 years after he was allowed to get it.

If he was my kid and he didnt hurt anyone I would tell that story proudly to anyone who would listen :) of course reinforcing terrible behavior such as grand theft auto could possibly lead to greater criminal activity in the future... We'd cross that bridge when we got there though. Assuming of course the kid doesnt steal the bridge first.

It could've been worse. A close friend of mine took a joyride when he was 15 (he had a learners permit, but no license). He got pulled over for speeding (in a school zone). He now has to wait until he is 23 years old to apply for a drivers license. Now that sucks.

lol, i remember watching this on the news!
the kid was swerving through traffic like he was a nascar driver, or he'd been driving for years!
so funny!

Holy shit. How did that happen since he couldn't be tried as an adult? Once he turned 18 his record should have cleared.

You've got me, i have no idea. Maybe the DMV has different rules, or maybe Florida has different rules. Hell, maybe he was even lying, but i doubt it, because he is 18 now and still takes the bus to work every day, and thats a pretty big sacrifice just to back up a lie...
