The fact that there is none, besides the music and gunshots. The beginning sounded weird without audio

oh, my bad....I was trying to use it almost as a tension thing...but I guess that didn't work

You could do with tightening up your edits. And remember close ups are your friend. Like when he open the child safety gate, show a close up of his hand actually unlocking it so you didn't have that long pause as he trys to open it without looking down.

On the subject of camera shots

you CAN have some movement involved, not all shots need to be stationary.
