I have a few quicktime movie files that I'm trying to work into a movie, but they aren't compatable with Windows Movie Maker... is there any way to fix this problem, and if not what other options are there besides spending $40 on quicktime pro or a better editor?

can you open the file in ANY other media player? if so then you can just "Save as" in that player and try to import it like that

I tried to open it with Windows media player but I get some kind of error message and nothing happens (I went into the file's properties and changed the media player from there).

You might have to convert them to .avi files to have them work in WMM. I haven't really done much with WMM since I run Adobe Premiere.

To convert files you'll need some sort of software. Try googling .avi converters.

I'd recomend a program called Simplified Universal Player Encoder & Renderer, or SUPER for short. I use it to convert avi filesinto 3pg files for my cell phone but, it can be used to convert just about any video format into another quickly and without to much guess work. The best part is it's free, the bad part is the site makes you click a few times to get to the download page. Check it out. http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html
