Hi I have a question, I have done a lot of research but still can not make up my mind on which camera I should get. The DVX100b only does SD but 24p while the FX1 does HD and not true 24p. Among other things what camera do you think I should get?
I will primarily be shooting short films and concerts, and use it for film classes.
Thank you for listening and all your help.

Have you checked out the HVR-A1U, it's cheaper then the DVX-100b and it comes with a mic and has XLR inputs.

dvx100b for the XLR inputs, the true 24p, and the better controls.

I have thought long and hard and I really do need an hd camera, I have looked at the A1U but dont really like the idea of tapeless, so I checked into the v1u, and it seems very nice, what do you guys think? This will be my first prosumer camera and I just want to get it right.

Tapeless (to a removeable media like a P2 card or an SD card NOT hard drive) kicks tapes ass all the way down the street.
